The 6th Annual Encinitas Rotary Wine Festival was held on June 6, 2009, at Quail Botanical Gardens. 640 Guests tasted fine wines and beverages from around the world, sampled entres and desserts from local restaurants, and listen to live music. Over $75,000 was raised for local charities. An added plus for the evening was that it was a "green" event with all waste being recycled except for five gallons of non-recyclable material.
